The Toto Eco Soiree is a retro-looking one-piece toilet that features one of the most highly praised gravity flushing systems on the market right now and comes with an elongated bowl for the highest level of comfort. It uses 1.28 gallons of water per flush which means that it can save over 8000 gallons of water annually compared to older toilets that use over 3.5 gallons of water per flush.
The MS964214CEFG#01 Eco Soiree is a unique 1-piece toilet with skirted design and highly advanced features that are typical to Toto brand. There are several different colors to choose from and although Toto toilets usually come with a spicy price and the Eco Soiree is somewhat a high-end toilet, the price of the Eco Soiree is actually slightly cheaper compared to several other Toto toilets.
The first area where the Eco Soiree shines is the design. It’s made of single piece of material which means that the tank and the toilet bowl are fitted together with seamless design. This makes it look more modern and eliminates the possibility of germs and bacteria to spread in the tight space between the tank and the bowl.
The downside of one-piece design is the price. Because it’s harder to manufacture the toilet from a single piece of material, one-piece toilets are usually slightly more expensive and the Eco Soiree is not an exception.
Although this is a matter of personal preference, we believe that it looks stunning and the fact that that the slightly retro but sleek design with modern features makes it appropriate for most bathrooms is a bonus on top of that.
The Soiree comes with elongated bowl which offers more comfort than toilets with round bowl, but makes the toilet longer for about two inches which could be an issue if you plan on installing it in a smaller bathroom where every inch of space makes a huge difference.
Double cyclone flushing system
The Eco Soiree features Toto’s Double Cyclone flushing system which is one of the most highly praised gravity-fed flushing systems on the market. It uses 1.28 gallons of water per flush which makes it very water efficient.
To put this into perspective; If you have an old toilet that uses 3.5 gallons of water per flush and you flush it 10 times per day, you can save over 8000 gallons of water annually by switching to the Eco Soiree.
How does the double cyclone work?
A traditional toilet with gravity-fed flushing system has rim holes all around the toilet rim. When the flushing action starts, the water is dropped through the rim holes into the bowl.
The Eco Soiree has no rim holes and it has no rim. Instead, there are two nozzles on the side of the bowl through which the water comes out. The water moves around the bowl like a spiral, creating a centrifugal force that maximizes the cleaning action. It’s needless to say that centrifugal force creates more force than gravity alone and this results in superior bowl cleaning.
Another huge advantage of rimless design is that it makes toilet easier to clean. Area behind the rim is a perfect place for bacteria, germs, and mineral buildups to start nesting
